Turbosmart has created a universal spring change tool to further assist with spring changes away from the workshop, or for those who don't want to invest in specific tooling to assist with changing the springs in a wastegate.
The spring change assistance tool can be used on any wastegate, can be mounted on a table or clamped in a vice and only requires a simple tool to actuate the device making it the perfect trackside tool or DIY supporting accessory for your Turbosmart products.
As the device clamps the wastegate, it allows for you to safely remove the locking collar on the wastegate without worrying about the spring preload force.
The spring change assistance tool was created to assist users with clamping the cap while tightening the collar, it minimises any risk of misalignment of the cap and potentially introducing a leak due to the cap not being correctly tightened with the new spring package. It is not only to assist with spring changes, it can assist with maintenance of your wastegate if you wish to remove the cap safely due to the spring preload force to inspect or replace the diaphragm.
